My Daycation

In celebration of my birthday, Tracy and I left the kids behind to meet up for a girl's day in Huntington Beach. We started out at Dukes having Mai Tais and yummy appetizers. It was so much fun being able to talk and laugh (uninterrupted) while watching the tourists and surfers enjoy the ocean. To complete the meal, we had cupcakes that Tracy brought from French's bakery. Unfortunately, that didn't stop us from eating the macadamia nut mud pie the waiter brought us afterwards. After we rolled out of there, we met up with our good friend Matt Hill from High School and went for a ride on the strand in one of those big bikes they rent on the beach. I don't know what was more sore afterwards; my thighs or my stomach muscles from laughing so hard. It was a great way to complete my birthday celebration- thanks Trace!!
