Ethan's 9 Month Update

We take Ethan for his 9 month update on Wednesday so I will post his measurements later. Here is what he is up to these days:

• Wears 12 month and 18 month clothes
• Now has 2 teeth on the bottom, 2 on the top and 2 more are just breaking through on the top
• Feeds himself, has an excellent pincer grasp with both hands
• Can drink water from a sippy cup without assistance
• In fact, he won't eat baby food anymore and won't take food in a spoon if he can't do it himself. So now I am constantly looking for new foods that he can feed himself. He will try anything and, so far, he loves it all!
• Loves to babble and say Da-Da, Ga-Ga
• Has a cute little giggle. Jason can get him to laugh the best and it's so adorable
• Claps his hands and is learning how to wave and blow kisses
• Takes baths with his sister in the tub every night
• Answers to his name and will look for Poly if you ask him to look for his puppy. He is also starting to look to us when we ask him where is mommy, where is Sophie, etc.
• Loves Sophie and Poly- they can keep him entertained for hours

• His favorite toy is the Sesame Street Pop up toy that we had when we were little.
• His sleeping schedule was going great until a double ear ache and now two new teeth have gotten in the way. Last night he slept through the night for good but woke up at 4 am bright eyed and bushy tailed.
• He's not crawling yet and given the amount of little toys that are around the house thanks to Sophie and Poly's dog hair on the floor- I am content with him staying where I leave him for now.
• HAPPY! From the day he was born he has been very easy going and mellow. He continues to be as sweet as can be.
