Christmas Day

Surprisingly, Ethan was the first one awake on Christmas morning. Here he is with Rosie before his big sis wakes up.

Aunt Melody & Uncle Craig got the kids each their own doggy which happen to be bigger than our real life doggies.

Sophie was so excited for Christmas this year (for the first time). Watching the Dora Christmas movie over and over and over again probably helped!! When we got home from Erin & Bryan's we put out the cookies and and carrots for Santa & the Reindeer and Sophie also left her pacifiers so Santa could give them to the babies. Daddy and Sophie went outside to look for Santa and his sled and they also checked the Santa website tracker. She finally went to bed around 10:30. Christmas was a little bittersweet for Sophie. She loved every second of it and even asked for more Christmas the following day but had a hard time giving up her paci. I think if she had a choice, she would have given all the toys back to have her paci. There was one point last week when she found another paci under her bed so I was a little worried that we had lost all the momentum we had built up, but fortunately, she gave that one up too. We are still working on sleeping better through the night and easier naps during the day. Thankfully Ethan never took to a paci because these things are hard to give up!!

Later in the morning, Grandpa Barry and Grandma Jerana joined us for a casual breakfast and what else, more presents! It was a perfect, relaxing Christmas.
