• First Cold-Ethan had his first cold this month with an earache in his left ear. He is usually such a happy baby that we knew something was wrong when he kept pulling on his ear and was fussy. After 10 days of antibiotics, he is back to normal and feeling good.

• Eating- he now nurses in the morning and at night (and sometimes in the middle of the night) and eats three meals during the day. He is also learning how to drink from a cup and eat finger foods like small pieces of banana, avocado, cheese and cheerios.

• Bathing- as you can see from this picture, Ethan now takes a bath with Sophie (and Dora) every night before bed. It definitely makes it easier to bath both of them at the same time and he loves to splash and kick his legs in the big tub.

• Sleeping- his schedule is pretty consistent unless he isn't feeling well, is teething or the day was out of the ordinary. He takes his first nap 2 hours after he wakes up and then takes another nap in the afternoon which can last anywhere from 1-2 hours each. He usually goes down to sleep by 7:30 and wakes up between 5-7 am depending on if he wakes up in the middle of the night.

• Activities- he still loves his jumper and being entertained by Sophie and Poly. Most recently, he is now sitting up on his own and loves to lay on his belly and play with toys and kick his legs up and down. He moves around a lot when on the floor but isn't crawling yet. He now puts his arms out for one of us when he wants us to hold him and he will almost jump out of our arms when he sees something he wants.

• Wears size 4 diapers and size 12 months or 12-18 month clothes

• Loves to squeal and is starting to make "ga" and "ba" sounds

• Has 2 lower teeth and it looks like the 2 upper teeth will arrive soon

• Rarely cries unless very upset or uncomfortable

• Has a funny little giggle- I think he takes after me. :)

Sophie thinks the world of her little brother. She is constantly saving food and putting her toys to the side, "for Ethan when he gets a little bigger". She likes to help bathe him, feed him and play with him. It is so sweet to see how he lights up when she kisses him or gives him hugs.
